ScholarshipOther Available NFRW ScholarshipsTimelines for Scholarships2008 Charlotte Mousel Scholarship WinnersThe Charlotte Mousel Scholarship is given every year by Southern Division to a young man or woman who exemplifies qualities of Citizenship and Scholarship.After reading and evaluating the entries submitted for the Southern Division Charlotte Mousel Scholarship, the County Presidents unanimously agreed on the winners. It is never easy to pick just two winners among the seven applicants. Each county winner had impressive academic records and achievements in school, sports, church and civic activities. "This was an exceptional group of students. It was difficult to determine the first and second winner. Our Country will be in good hands with the quality of young people we have today. Each County Federation can be proud of their winners. God Bless America."

To involve more young people in the political process and to provide educational opportunities, the National Federation of Republican Women offers several scholarships to students. Each scholarship stands on its own merit. Applicants must be U.S. citizens. Applicants may only apply for one internship in a given year. State Federations must complete and submit to NFRW a checklist (provided by NFRW) with each application submitted.

The National Federation of Republican Women established the National Pathfinder Scholarship Fund in 1985 in honor of First Lady Nancy Reagan.
The three annual scholarships of $2,500 each are available to provide financial assistance and support to young women seeking undergraduate or postgraduate degrees. College sophomores, juniors and seniors and students enrolled in a Masters Program are eligible. Download application
Timeline for National Pathfinder ScholarshipThe National Federation of Republican Women established the Betty Rendel Scholarship Fund in September of 1995 in honor of NFRW Past President Betty Rendel's extraordinary leadership skills and dedication to the Republican Party in her home state of Indiana, as well as on the national level. The three annual scholarships of $1,000 are designed for undergraduate Republican women who are currently majoring in political science, government or economics. The recipients are chosen form applicants from across the nation. The scholarships are given to women who have successfully completed at least two years of college coursework. Download Application
Timeline for Betty Rendel ScholarshipThis Memorial Internship Program is named after former National Federation of Republican Women President Dorothy Andrews Kabis, who served from 1963-1967 and was later appointed Treasurer of the United States by President Richard Nixon. Each year, the program offers three young women the opportunity to spend six weeks in our nation's capitol working in the headquarters of the country's foremost women's partisan political organization. Applicants must be in their junior year of college or college students age 21 and over, having completed high school but not yet graduated from college. Applicants should have a general knowledge of government and a keen interest in Republican politics, inluding campaign experience and clerical office skills adaptable to a busy office. The internship provides housing in the D.C. metropolitan area and round trip airfare. A small monetary allowance is given. Download Application
Timeline for Kabis Scholarship
Applications are inserted in the January edition of the Southern Division Bulletin and appear on the CFRW Southern Division Website. County Presidents must give a copy of the application to each unit club President by February 1. Club President must give the copy of the application to the club scholarship chairman by February 15. Applications must be submitted to CFRW Scholarship Chairman by February 8, 2008. CHARLOTTE MOUSEL SCHOLARSHIP
March 14: County Presidents - Deadline for copies of applications, evaluation forms and related materials received by Southern Division Chairman Mary Humphrey.
March 20: Club Presidents - Deadline to send copies of applications, evaluation forms and other related material to County Presidents.
April 2: Southern Division Board Meeting County Presidents will meet at a delegated time to select the two (2) winners.
June 4: Southern Division Board Meeting. Winners will be presented and awarded their checks and certificates.
